Have you ever walked and texted… and walked into someone? Ever walked into a lamppost? Ever walked off the sidewalk and twisted your angle? Yeah, me too! But we’re not alone dear space cadet buddies! As it turns out, our friends across the pond also have had similar problems.
Want proof? Living Streets, a non profit organization did a survey and “found 10% of injuries were because of walking and texting”? I have provided you the link above for the details.
How did the brilliant British resolve this life threatening issue? A British directory company has put up soft lamppost cushions.
Is this what the world has come to? Where were these when I was a kid? And how do I order a set of lamppost bumpers for the kids learning to drive?

I’m sorry if you do something like that )and I know at times we are all guilty of it) then you should accept the consequences of your stupidity. I hate that people are trying to protect us from every little bump and bruise and twisted ankle.
Maybe the bumpers can be made of conductive gel packs, connected to high-voltage/high-current supply lines, whereby we add a whole new segment of idiots to the Darwin Awards list? And maybe get the nanny state legislators who have this irrational need to “protect us from ourselves” to be the first ones to test out the circuit?
