New Balance is my favorite shoe.  I think I discovered them in about 1979.  At that time they were the only running shoe manufacturer to offer widths. Yes, you read that correctly.  At that time no other manufacturer made running shoes in anything but 'medium' width.  I have wide feet.  Once I put on New Balance, I didn't look back.  I have worn out many, many pairs.  They are not cheap.  Alas, at one time they were 100% made in the USA.  More's the pity.
