Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Photographer Volunteer Wanted

Seeking professional photographers to volunteer their services.

Last night I attended a great photographer seminar - (captivated by the light). At the end of the seminar the speaker – Ed Pierce – showcased a very worthy organization called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.

The photographers are non paid volunteers. Each affiliate professoinal goes on site to homes and hospitals and take photos of families and babies (the last pictures ever of the baby before it passes). In essence, they help the family remember the babies that never survived beyond birth. This not-profit organization (NILMDTS)is looking for volunteer photographers if you or someone you know is interested. I have submitted my application today.

Though it is a sad thought to photograph the last few moments of a babies life, the memories you bring to the family will last forever. The infant bereavement photos help the family heal from their loss. The composition is soft and subtle and allows the family to remember the infant. Since the photographers are all professional photographers who volunteer their time, the services are free to family. The image maker (each photographer) provides a high resolution CD of the images directly to the family.  If you have any questions or want to volunteer, please click on the link above.

Google April Fool Joke Custom Time Gmail 2008

This is great! Google has now created a time machine email system where people can send emails back in time all the way back to April 1 2004! Imagine being able to back date emails so that you were never late!

QUOTED DIRECTLY FROM From Google:

How do I use it?

Just click “Set custom time” from the Compose view. Any email you send to the past appears in the proper chronological order in your recipient’s inbox. You can opt for it to show up read or unread by selecting the appropriate option.

Is there a limit to how far back I can send email?

Yes. You’ll only be able to send email back until April 1, 2004, the day we launched Gmail. If we were to let you send an email from Gmail before Gmail existed, well, that would be like hanging out with your parents before you were born — crazy talk.

How does it work?

Gmail utilizes an e-flux capacitor to resolve issues of causality (see Grandfather Paradox).

How come I only get ten?

Our researchers have concluded that allowing each person more than ten pre-dated emails per year would cause people to lose faith in the accuracy of time, thus rendering the feature useless.

Their findings:

N = Total emails sent
P = Probability that user believes the time stamp
? = The Golden Ratio
L = Average life expectancy”

BRILLIANT!

We are engaged come celebrate with us on April 20

Dear family & friends,

I am excited to announce that last night the little wet dog got engaged… I said yes (we’re a package deal you know!) The picture is attached!!!

We have decided that the wedding will be held on April 20th 2008! It will be held at the Mundelein Country Club at 8am, reception to follow. We’d greatly appreciate if all of your family and friends could attend the ceremony, but realizing it is short notice, if you cannot attend there will be a live broadcast of the ceremony and pictures posted the next day on my blog.

More details to follow on Wednesday!
